Lundin Petroleum is committed to developing oil & gas in the most efficient way, with due regard to social and environmental issues; it seeks to have a positive impact not only on its shareholders and partners, but also on host communities, and thereby to adhere to high standards of corporate citizenship.

Lundin Petroleum’s main socio-economic contributions result from its oil & gas exploration and production activities. The positive economic consequences of these activities, however, are not always immediate or sufficient enough to alleviate problems encountered by disadvantaged groups in areas where it is active; this is why Lundin Petroleum has introduced a Corporate Donations programme.

The Corporate Donations programme involves making, from time to time, monetary or in-kind contributions to individuals, groups or projects which enhance the welfare of particularly disadvantaged people, contribute to the better understanding of the oil & gas sector or promote positive values.

The main selection criteria for a project to qualify under the Corporate Donations programme are relevance and materiality; the project must be in an area or field Lundin Petroleum has an interest in and the contribution must have a material effect on the project.
