  Lundin Petroleum has a substantial portfolio of exploration licences.

During the 2011 exploration programme Lundin Petroleum enjoyed considerable success with new discoveries in both Norway (Caterpillar, Tellus, Skalle and Aldous Major North) and Malaysia (Tarap, Cempulut and Janglau).

In 2012 Lundin Petroleum plans to drill (operated and non-operated) 24 exploration and appraisal wells targeting in total 522 MMboe of net unrisked prospective resources. 14 of these exploration and appraisal wells are scheduled to be drilled in Norway and 5 are plannedin Malaysia. The other scheduled wells are in France and the Netherlands.
