Jeffrey Fountain is responsible for all legal matters pertaining to the Lundin Petroleum group.
Jeffrey Fountain was born in Canada in 1969, and has a Commerce and Economics degree and a Law degree from the University of Toronto.
From 1995 to 2000, he practiced corporate and securities law with a large Canadian law firm in Vancouver. He advised Canadian and international companies in the oil and gas industry as well as companies involved in the mining, telecommunications and entertainment sectors. His practice involved a wide range of corporate and securities matters including corporate finance, securities regulation, corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions.
From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Fountain worked as a legal officer with the United Nations in Geneva, resolving compensation claims made in connection with the Kuwait/Iraq Gulf War.
Since the beginning of 2003, Mr. Fountain has been responsible for the Lundin Petroleum group’s legal matters. He is involved with all legal aspects of Lundin Petroleum’s acquisitions and divestments, as well as its external financings. He is also responsible for corporate structuring, contractual and operational legal issues relating to all of the Lundin Petroleum group’s assets and operations.
